255 nitrogen chemiluminescence detector - sensitive nitrogen selective detection.

Agilent 255 nitrogen chemiluminescence detector NCD is a nitrogen selective chromatographic detector that exhibits linear response to equimolar nitrogen compounds. The detection principle is to use a stainless steel burner to burn nitrogen-containing compounds at high temperatures to generate nitrogen oxide NO. The photomultiplier tube detects the light generated by the continuous chemiluminescence reaction between NO and ozone. Due to the specificity of the reaction, complex sample matrices can be analyzed with little or no interference. Nitrogen nitrogen selective chromatography detectors can be used for gas chromatography GC or supercritical chromatography SFCpg level detection limits without quenching of hydrocarbons. Organic nitrides have equimolar linear responses to ammonia, hydrazine, hydrogen cyanide, and NOX. Agilent 355 sulfur chemiluminescence detector SCD is a sensitive selective chromatographic sulfur detector used for the analysis of sulfur compounds. SCD uses a dual plasma combustion chamber to burn sulfur-containing compounds at high temperatures to generate sulfur monoxide (SO). The photomultiplier tube detects the light generated by the chemiluminescence reaction between SO and ozone, which results in linear and equimolar responses to sulfur compounds without interference from the majority of sample matrices.  

Sulfur selective detectors are used for gas chromatography GC or supercritical chromatography SFC.
