SUTHERLAND 2000 Four Speed Ink Friction Tester
The American Danilee company has been established for more than 70 years, and the SUTHERLAND 2000 four speed ink friction tester has been widely regarded as the industry standard for testing wear resistance. Nowadays, SUTHERLAND 2000 ™ The friction tester now offers 4 speeds, providing customers with greater flexibility. The Danilee brand is known for providing exceptionally qualified friction testing products.
SUTHERAND2000 is a motor-driven wear testing instrument used to move weighing test strips on printed samples through an arc. The tester motor has four speeds (the old model only has two speeds): the first speed is 21 cycles per minute (half the speed of the old model), which makes "wet" testing and testing below 5 strokes easier to perform. The second speed is 42 cycles per second, the third speed is 85 cycles per minute (the same as the old model), and the fourth speed is faster, at 106 cycles per minute. The special design of the tester provides customers with customized wear testing program options for their products, while maintaining the ability to replicate programs completed by old model units.
Sutherland 2000 tests ink adhesion in the United States to determine the quality of ink. This machine can perform dry grinding test, wet grinding test, decolorization change test, paper blurring test, and special friction test. Ink abrasion resistance test is a testing method designed to evaluate the wear resistance or abrasion resistance of ink marks on paper or cardboard.
SUTHERLAND ® two thousand ™ Friction tester has been an industry standard for decades, and recently there have been some significant changes to improve its practicality and reliability.
Combined with the recommended usage methods of the new ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials), this tester will be more widely used in the coming years. The result of this work is an affordable wear testing instrument that retains all the features that make it an industry standard and has been improved to ensure that it remains an industry standard in the new millennium.

Explanation: The ink friction tester can perform:
Dry friction: Friction between dry samples
Wet friction: Friction between wet samples
Wet transfer: Ink is transferred from the sample to the absorbent filter paper
Wet coating: Similar to wet transfer, with more friction times
Functional Friction: Use a certain liquid instead of water for the above test
Thermal Friction: Testing the Wear Resistance of Printed Materials with Heating Weights
